Powhiri 2018

Many thanks to all the parents and family members who attended the Powhiri at the college Marae on Tuesday morning to support our new students on their first day.  With all year levels starting classes on Wednesday we are now fully into our teaching timetable.

Teacher Supply

We are happy to start the year fully staffed with classroom teachers and are in the process of appointing a new Deputy Principal and a new Guidance Counsellor – hopefully before the end of this term.

Long Weekend – Waitangi

Along with many other schools we will be closed on the Monday before Waitangi Day, Tuesday February 6th to allow a 4 day long weekend for our families.

Late Start Tuesday Mornings

From Week 3 (after Waitangi week) onwards we will be starting classes later at 9.25am on Tuesday mornings.  This is to allow professional learning workshops to take place for staff.

Buses will be running at the normal times.  Students who arrive early are welcome to be around the school or in our Library-I Hub where supervision will be available. A warning bell at 9.20am will remind students to head to class.

School Road & Gym Parking

The school road connecting to parking at the gym is open to visitors who are using the school fields or gymnasium.  The gate will be locked after hours if we have no bookings for the fields or facilities.

A full school newsletter will be posted home in the middle of February.
